Norway doesn’t have to many people that are well known all over the world. But there are some. Please help me add people to these lists.

Alive and kicking:

– Sig Hansen (and his brothers), known from Deadliest Catch on Discovery channel.
– Gro Harlem Bruntland, politician, known from WHO amongst others.
– Liv Ullmann, actor and director
– Harald Zwart, director
– Jostein Gaarder, author
– Johan Olav Koss, speed skater and later involved with UNICEF and Right to Play

People dead and long dead:

– Fritiof Nansen, explorer
– Edvard Munch, painter
– Roald Amundsen, explorer
– Henrik Ibsen, writer
– Arne Næss Jr., businessman and mountaineer
– Roald Dahl, writer

We also have a lot of people that feel Norwegian, since their families originated from here, like Richard Dean Anderson from MacGyver and Stargate SG1. USA has about 4,5 has inhabitants of Norwegian ancestry, almost as many as Norway!

Music personalities have their own entry here; https://aboutnorway.wordpress.com/2010/07/03/music/
